Liquid Chamber Kaleidoscopes

These are two piece scopes with a liquid chamber filled with oil. They are a very slow and evolving viewing field unlike the fixed chamber of the other scopes. They have acrylic lenses and front surface mirrors in a 30 deg x 75 deg configuration. Each of the chambers is the same on these particular set of scopes so the views below could have been from anyone of them.

This kaleidoscope is an Asian influenced work including woodcut transfers of Japanese Geishas on a Red and Black background with Gold Enhancements. Liquid Chamber Wand Style Kaleidoscopes

These scopes combine the static chamber with a liquid chamber wand filled with oil. They rate of flow can be controlled from very fast to still. The wands can be turned and contain two spiral chambers with different visual elements. They have acrylic lenses and front surface mirrors in a 30 deg x 75 deg configuration. The wands can be order in four different colors, red, blue, green and purple. Those colors are the primary colors in the wands but not the only ones. It is hard to describe the images these scopes produce as they are so complex and ever changing. Each scope comes with one wand that compliments the main color theme of the scope but others can be ordered individually. The attached video is a demonstration of typical images that can be seen with this scope. Forgive the quality as it is nearly impossible to capture what the eye sees through the scopes lens.

It's name and design come from Mother Nature who nutures the earth and her mate, the Wind who brings the change of seasons and nourishment to her world. This kaleidoscope is trimmed in Red and Black, a common Chinese color scheme, and includes many different dragon designs and Chinese Script plates. It comes with a matching stand that has holders for two wands. It comes stock with one blue color wand.

"Oil Filled Wands - $10.00

These wands fit the above wand style kaleidoscopes. They have twin spiral chambers. One is filled with gold beads and the other multi colored objects in a colored oil. They are 18 x 220mm (about 9 inches long).

Brass & Glass Kaleidoscopes

These two piece scopes, one piece is stationary and the other turns. They have brass trim caps, glass lenses and front surface mirrors in a 60 deg. orientation. Each scope is unique and also has a custom viewing chamber. They come with a matching stand. If the original is sold, one can be made in the same style.
